Travel itinerary for a week in North of Corsica passing through Elba and Capraia Islands

DAY 1 – SALIVOLI – PUNTA CALAMITA – GULF STELLA – NAVIGATION HOURS 4

We begin our one-week itinerary from the port of Salivoli. Departure in the morning towards the first swim at the Remaiolo beach, located on the Punta della Calamita, at the south-eastern end of the Island of Elba.

After lunch we hoist the sails again to reach Golfo Stella, for an anchorage between the beaches of Margidore and Norsi. Still time for a refreshing bath. Those who want can go ashore with the tender for a walk at sunset or an aperitif in the chiringuito on the beach. We will spend the first night here cradled by the sea under the starry sky.

DAY 2 – GULF STELLA – LACONELLA – FETOVAIA – NAVIGATION HOURS 2

After breakfast and a nice refreshing swim, we set off again to discover one of the most beautiful beaches on Elba, the Laconella beach, in the Gulf of Lacona. Here we will find turquoise and crystalline water, on seabeds of clear sand that descend gently to the beach. It will be a morning of diving, swimming and relaxing, as if we were anchored in a huge swimming pool.

In the afternoon another beautiful sailing of about an hour and a half to the south-western tip of the island of Elba to stop at anchor in the Caribbean beach of Fetovaia with its pale sand and rounded cliffs.

DAY 3 – FETOVAIA – FINOCCHIAROLA – MACINAGGIO – NAVIGATION HOURS 6

We are on the third day of our itinerary and after many baths and the hesitant relaxation, a day with more navigation awaits us for the crossing that will take us to the French waters of Corsica. Bow to the North-West in the direction of Macinaggio!

In the afternoon we will cast the anchor in the natural park of the Finocchiarola islands for a  swim before entering the port of Macinaggio, where we will spend the night moored in the marina. Here, cafes and excellent restaurants await us to toast this intense day of sailing.

DAY 4 – MACINAGGIO – CORSE HEAD – CENTURI – NAVIGATION HOURS 2

We leave from the port of Macinaggio to discover the finger of Corsica, the turquoise waters of Cala Santa Maria and Barcaggio where we will stop for breathtaking baths. A special feature of these beaches, in addition to the turquoise water, is the presence of small herds of cows that frequent the coast during the day.

In the afternoon we hoist the sails to round Cap Corse, pass the Giraglia and look out over the west coast of Corsica to reach the Centuri harbor. A small fishing village with a very charming atmosphere. It will feel like sitting in a postcard when we go ashore to enjoy a good Pastisse or a cool French wine.

DAY 5 – CENTURI – CAPRAIA – NAVIGATION HOURS 4

We set sail in the morning to circumnavigate Cap Corse again and head towards a small island lost in the blue. The island of Capraia. Lunch and swimming at anchor in one of the coves on the east coast of the island before moving to the port front to go ashore and discover this little wonder of the Mediterranean, among sea view cafes and restaurants specializing in fresh fish and crudités

DAY 6 – CAPRAIA – CAVO – SALIVOLI – NAVIGATION HOURS 6

We set sail in the morning from Capraia in the direction of the Tuscan coast with a stop on the north-eastern tip of the island of Elba to sweep the return. We will anchor, just north of Cavo beach, in a wild and natural-looking inlet with a small beach surrounded by high striped cliffs, ideal for diving or having fun with small dives.

In the afternoon we have only one hour left of navigation to return to the port of Salivoli
